Marketing vs advertising

What is the difference between advertising and marketing? Advertising is a step in marketing. Advertising tells a story about something to attract attention. Marketing is a plan or steps that you take to not only attract consumers but to attract buyers and sellers. Marketing and advertising both go hand in hand and that they use certain things to attract consumers and buyers alike. I am more aware of the process of advertising than what marketers do to persuade customers. I think it is because every time I turn on the television I see a commercial or an advertisement. People actually sit down and create these advertisements. People specialize in the psychology marketing and use that knowledge to push their products to consumers. I think it’s fascinating.
